Resolution 2003-09-16.bmh.1.mgs: Partnering with Transforming Knowledge Spaces
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

WHEREAS,

1. The "Transforming Knowledge Spaces: Open Technologies for Research
Collaboration and Research Communication" project (henceforth
referred to as "the project") at the Intellectual Property Research
Institute of Australia is seeking international partners to advise
   and participate in the project.

2. The project will include the development of Free Software as a
   central part of research.

3. Partnership of SPI for this project allows an explicit avenue for
involvement of its members and also allows for the involvement of
SPI as an organization without commitment from members or from the
   organization.

IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED THAT,

1. Software in the Public Interest, Inc. will join the project in an
advisory and participatory role as an international partner.

2. Benjamin 'Mako' Hill will act as advisor to the project and gather
input from SPI, its members, projects and their members.
