GENERATION OF TALENTED ARTISTS </P>
<P><STRONG></STRONG><STRONG>Washington</STRONG><STRONG> ,
</STRONG><STRONG>D.C.</STRONG><STRONG> –</STRONG> After more than 10
years on hiatus, Teddy Bear Records announced its re-emergence today
as a significant national independent record label and publishing
company in the music industry.</P>
<P>Based in Washington , D.C. , Teddy Bear Records plans to announce
a distribution deal this week with the Sony/BMG subsidiary, Red
Distribution. Teddy Bear Records promises to be a major force in the
recording industry and boasts an impressive roster of talented
artists, all of whom offer a new breed of infectious grooves and
soulful recordings to mainstream popular culture.</P>
<P>The record label will celebrate its official launch on Feb. 7,
2006 with its first annual pre-Grammy Awards ”Rock the House” artist
showcase at BB King’s Blues Club in Universal City, Calif. Industry
insiders are invited to attend the event, which will be hosted by
comedian Chris Thomas and feature performances by Teddy Bear Records
artists E.U., Lady Day, Duv Sac, Comp and Stinky Dink.</P>
<P>“This event will allow people to see first-hand the full range of
inner-city sounds we are promoting,” said Teddy Bear Records
President Alfred Hopkins. “We are very excited about these artists,
and we believe huge momentum for these acts will develop as we
release all of the titles we have planned over the next few
months.”</P>
<P>The label plans to kick off its launch in February with the
release of singles by D.C.-based R&B artist Lady Day (“Roc Wit
Me”) and Mississippi-based rapper Duv Sac (“Welcome to Mississippi
”). In addition, the label is teaming up once again with one of its
most notable clients, Go-Go legends E.U., for the April release of
the pulsating party funk single “It’s Like That,” a track from the
forthcoming full-length album entitled <EM>The Mixture</EM>. The
partnership previously enjoyed double-platinum success with the
late-80’s hit “Da Butt,“ a single which sparked an international
dance craze.</P>
<P>Teddy Bear Records will also release a number of titles from
other artists in April, including the full-length, neo-soul debut
album <EM>The Collection</EM> (featuring the single “Sexy”) by
Oktbrwrld, as well as material from rappers the Truth (aka Backwoodz
Boys). April will also see the release of albums by gospel artists
Mike Johnson & DP and Bishop J.D. Fowler.</P>
<P>In May, the label plans to release additional material from rap
artists Stinky Dink and Angelo Redman, as well as a DVD entitled
“Line Dancing for Health with Randy Dennis.”</P>
<P>The Feb. 7 artist showcase will begin at 6 p.m. with a southern
buffet-style dinner for industry insiders, followed by live
